Morgan Gould will join up with SuperSport United to train tomorrow morning as Stuart Baxter considers reuniting with the former Kaizer Chiefs defender.
Gould, 33, is currently on the lookout for the next move in his career after leaving Naturena at the end of last season, and with Matsatsantsa on the hunt for a centre back, Baxter has opted to take a look at him.
SuperSport are known to be very interested in landing Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Mario Booysen, following his successful loan spell as they won the Nedbank Cup this year, however, there has still been no agreement reached between the two clubs.
Now, with Baxter having to look at potential options elsewhere, he says that he will be looking at Gould as well as discussing possible options from overseas.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Baxter said, “We’ve got Morgan Gould coming in tomorrow, he’ll buy us a bit of time and will be a good short-term acquisition if we take him. We also have an option in Scandinavia and are looking into an Argentinian that ha been recommended to us by Manchester United.”
Gould enjoyed some of the best years of his career at SuperSport while working under Gavin Hunt before making the switch to Naturena in 2012 – where he won two more league titles.
