Ajax Cape Town boss, Ari Efstathiou, confirmed to Soccer-Laduma that Nazeer Allie’s move to Wits has been delayed because of the player’s current medical status.
It was revealed by the Siya crew earlier this month that the Urban Warriors agreed terms with the Students to complete the transfer of the defender during this transfer window.
Allie also agreed terms with Wits but as all football transfers require, the player had to go for a medical before completing the move.
It has since been discovered that the player's injury required surgery. The Ajax boss confirmed that Allie will move to Braamfontein when he is fit and ready to play again.
As things stand, it is likely that Allie will have to wait until January to complete the move, which will come as a blow to Wits coach, Gavin Hunt, who was keen on the player in a bid to strengthen his squad.
