Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Matthew Rusike, has signed for Swedish Allsvenskan outfit, Halmstads BK.
It was confirmed earlier this month that the 25-year-old had agreed to join Nacional in the Portuguese Primeira, however for reasons as yet unknown the two parties have decided to terminate the deal.
Micky Paiva, the player’s representative, confirmed Rusike’s Swedish move, saying, “The contract was terminated mutually between player and club. After the termination with Nacional he has moved on to Halmstad on an 18-month deal.”
Rusike’s 18-month deal will see him remain with the club until the end of the 2016 season, and he may well get to make his debut in the next couple of weeks as the Swedish season is already underway.
