Mamelodi Sundowns are preparing to part ways with Katlego Mashego, as part of the plans for Pisto Mosimane's side next season.
‘Mahoota’, as the striker is known in football circles, has struggled for game time at Sundowns in recent times. This past season, the 34-year-old made just two league starts for Downs in their PSL title-winning campaign.
The former Orlando Pirates player spent most of the time either on the bench or out of the team, as Mosimane preferred using Leonardo Castro as the main striker for the side.
Mashego’s contract is set to expire at the end of the month and there seem to be no plans to have it extended for longer.
