Mamelodi Sundowns are yet to reach an agreement with Platinum Stars for the striker, Bonginkosi Ntuli.
Ntuli has impressed with his performances while playing for Stars on loan from Sundowns. The Brazilians, who signed the striker from Golden Arrows in 2014, have already confirmed that they have started talks with Dikwena about a possible permanent deal for the player.
Ntuli is still under contract with Sundowns as the club activated the option they had on the player. Since leaving Abafana Bes’thende for Chloorkop at the end of the 2013/14 season, the Pietermaritzburg-born player has had loan spells with AmaZulu as well as Dikwena and it seems he is not in the plans for Pitso Mosimane’s team.
Contacted for comment, Ntuli’s representative, Mandla Mthembu, has confirmed that the player could secure a permanent move to Dikwena, depending on the negotiations.
“If you recall, the club (Sundowns) did provide an update about their players that have been on loan and mentioned that they have been talking to Platinum Stars for Bongi Ntuli. That tells you that he should be moving. It’s their (Sundowns’) option. It’s (the deal) subject to the two clubs reaching an agreement and the player should be moving, unless there is a change of heart from Sundowns. The player needs to have a permanent address,” said Mthembu.
