Lekgwathi Suffers Another Injury Setback At Bucs
Orlando Pirates captain, Lucky Lekgwathi, has suffered another major injury setback which has now further dented his chances of an earlier return to the Bucs squad.
The veteran defender earlier suffered from an ankle injury which healed and was ready to play, but he has now injured himself again at training hence his absence even in the MTN8 final against rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, which they lost 1-0.
Lekgwathi told the Siya crew that when he had started training, he aggravated his injury.
"I thought I was fully recovered and went back to training, but then I hurt myself and that's why I am still out. I am working hard on the injury now to recover and help the team. I know it's frustrating to be on the sidelines but that's football and I understand, but I will be back very soon, " Lekgwathi concluded.
Lekgwathi has not made an official appearance for the Buccaneers this season. He has so far missed pre-season and all six league fixtures as well as MTN8 cup ties of the new campaign.
