Despite Malmo FF claiming that Tokelo Rantie won’t be leaving the club, media reports in Sweden are suggesting that the striker could still leave this transfer window.
According to Swedish website, www.sydsvenskan.se, the 22-year-old South African was not at training today, something that has since been confirmed to the Siya crew by director of football, Per Agren.
Speaking to the crew, Agren said that he could not comment on the situation, but admitted that Rantie had not attended training today. However, he did say that he was expecting the forward to be back tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Siya crew sources have revealed that English Championship side AFC Bournemouth, who have previously had bids for the striker turned down, could be preparing a bid of around €2.6 million (R 36 million) for the Bafana Bafana man.

Alongside The Cherries, it is thought that Scottish giants, Glasgow Celtic, could be tempted to put in a bid for Rantie before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.
However, even if Bournemouth do manage to agree a fee with Malmo, Rantie may face problems regarding his work permit, and it remains to be seen as to whether The Cherries will be able to get around that aspect of the deal.
Rantie recently signed a long-term contract with the Swedish club and has been in fine form for Di Blae this season, and with the Swedish transfer window now closed, Malmo would not be able to bring in a replacement for the South African.
The Siya crew will continue to monitor Rantie’s situation in the next couple of days.
