The 25-year-old is in the final year of his contract after joining Bucs back in 2013 from SuperSport United. Erasmus has cemented his place as a firm fans-favourite during his tenure at the Soweto giants.
In his first season he bagged eight goals in 23 starts in all domestic competitions, while last season he notched up 12 strikes in 26 starts. This season he has managed to score once and has started three of the Buccaneers games.
With the player's contract set to expire at the end of the 2015/16 season, indications are that the player is not likely to extend his stay at Pirates.
Having already plied his trade in the Netherlands at an earlier stage in his career, it is understood that he is keen to return to Europe and Siya sources have indicated that a number of sides are already keeping tabs on the striker.
Come January, Erasmus will be able to start negotiations with other clubs and will be able to leave Bucs on a free at the end of the current campaign.
