As reported in the latest issue of the Soccer Laduma newspaper, edition 1001, Kabelo Seriba has signed a contract with FS Metta in Latvia.
The young defender is a product of the SuperSport United youth development. The 19-year-old player’s agent, Isaac Moalosi, from I am African agency confirmed to the Siya crew that the right back has signed a three-year contract with the Latvian Higher League club.
“Kabelo Seriba has signed with FS Metta in Latvia. He has signed a three-year contract. FS Metta has a good relationship with teams like Bayer Leverkusen, Werder Bremen, RB Salzburg, Empoli and Udinese, so he has a good chance of seeing himself playing for some of those big teams and in other big leagues,” said Moalosi.
Moalosi confirmed that Seriba’s contract with SuperSport came to an end at the end of last season.
“Kabelo Seriba would like to thank SuperSport United for developing him into the player he currently is. He will forever be grateful to the club. He will give SuperSport first preference if he decides to come back from overseas one day to join a local club,” explained Moalosi.
Seriba has been named in coach Thabo Senong’s 26-member Amajita squad that is preparing for the 2016 COSAFA U20 tournament.
As confirmed by SAFA, the team will be trimmed to 20 players at a later stage.
