Here Are Tips For Selected Soccer 6 Matches
Orlando Pirates are looking to transform their cup momentum onto their domestic front when they host fourth placed Bidvest Wits at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday, October 21. The Buccaneers sit in a disappointing 11th spot on the league standings having accumulated just five points from five outings. The Clever Boys on the other hand could move top of the table if they upset Bucs at the 'Slaughter House' and other results go their way.
French Ligue 1 defending champions Paris Saint-Germain host Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League Group A tie on Wednesday, October 21, at Parc des Princes, Paris. The Parisian club have won five games on the trot, and come off a 2-0 win away to Bastia courtesy of Swedish marksman Zlatan Ibrahimovich. Madrid have equally been in fine form and claimed a 3-0 win over Levante on Saturday as they top the Spanish La Liga standings. With both teams having claimed victories in their opening two games in Group A, this will be the fifth meeting between the two teams in European competition. The French side hold the upper hand ahead of tonight’s tie with two wins, one draw and one defeat. Rafael Benitez’s side will go in search of their first-ever win against Laurent Blanc’s team who they have never beaten at the Parc des Princes, losing once and only claiming a draw in the other encounter.
Russian Premier League table-toppers CSKA Moscow go head to head against three-time European Champions Manchester United in their Group B UEFA Champions League tie at the Arena Khimki on Wednesday, October 21. CSKA are currently five points clear at the top of the Russian Premier League following their gutsy 3-2 win over FC Ural on Saturday. Leonid Slutsky's men are in top form and are unbeaten in their last 13 contests in all competitions at the Arena Khimki. In their last Champions League clash, they claimed a 3-2 win over PSV Eindhoven and will look to claim top spot with a win over United. The Red Devils head into tonight’s tie following an impressive 3-0 win over Everton in the league the past weekend, making it five wins from their last six games, but they face a CSKA side that is yet to suffer defeat at home this season. Louis Van Gaal’s side suffered a 2-1 loss at PSV Eindhoven in their opening group game before beating Wolfsburg 2-1 at Old Trafford to move into second place. These two sides have met just twice before in the Champions League, which was during the 2009-10 campaign, with United winning the clash in Moscow 1-0 and the clash at Old Trafford finishing in a thrilling 3-3 draw after CSKA held a 3-1 lead.
An Absa Premiership top-of-the-table clash will see Platinum Stars entertain Mpumalanga Black Aces on Wednesday, October 21, at the Mbombela Stadium in what promises to be an electrifying tie. AmaZayoni are one of three teams still unbeaten in the league this season and have already booked a date with Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout on Saturday. Dikwena on the other hand are also yet to lose a league match though they were eliminated in the TKO by Chiefs. Cavin Johnson will hope his side hand Gavin Hunt his first loss and solidify their top spot.

ORLANDO PIRATES V BIDVEST WITS
League table: Pirates 11th and Wits 4th
Useful facts: Wits are within touching distance of the top of the league table, one point behind Platinum Stars, Mpumalanga Aces and Bloemfontein Celtic. Pirates, on the other hand, have had a tough time domestically despite their success in Africa. In terms of head-to-head comparisons, the Sea Robbers have won four of the last five meetings between the sides, though the last game ended 2-0 in favour of the Clever Boys.
Thulasizwe Mbuyane: Orlando Pirates will win. They are full of confidence and I think they have the upper hand.
PARIS ST GERMAIN V REAL MADRID
Champions League group: PSG 2nd and Real Madrid 1st
Useful facts: Real Madrid and PSG are both unbeaten in their opening two games of the Champions League and will now meet in what is one of the most anticipated matches so far. PSG are looking to showcase their credential as a European powerhouse, but in two international friendlies between these sides, Real emerged with 1-0 victories in both.
Thulasizwe Mbuyane: Because it is in France, I am going to say PSG. I think they will win at home.
CSKA MOSCOW V MAN UTD
Champions League group: CSKA 3rd and Man Utd 2nd
Useful facts: CSKA Moscow have been difficult to beat at home in the Champions League and will hope to secure a big three points against the English giants. The Red Devils beat Wolfsburg in their last outing in the tournament, while CSKA secured victory over PSV Eindhoven. The two sides met in the competition in 2009, where they drew 3-3 in England and United won 1-0 in Russia.
Thulasizwe Mbuyane: CSKA have not been doing very well. I think Man U will come back with the win.
BLACK ACES V PLATINUM STARS
League table: Black Aces 2nd and Platinum Stars 1st
Useful facts: This top-of-the-table clash sees two of the league’s in-form sides lock horns. Aces saw off Golden Arrows in their last league outing, while Dikwena secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Chippa United. Stars enjoy the better head-to-head record, with two wins in their last five league meetings, while three of those games ended in a stalemate.
Thulasizwe Mbuyane: Aces have been doing very well lately, so I’m going to go with an Aces win.
