Fifth-placed Ajax Cape Town seem to have found their rhythm after claiming a rare 2-1 win against SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium this past weekend. The Urban Warriors now face Mpumalanga Black Aces at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday, March 11, in an effort to keep their winning momentum. AmaZayoni have shown inconsistent form of late and are still winless in 2015. Clive Barker’s team were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom dwellers AmaZulu this past weekend after they let slip of a 1-0 lead in the last 10 minutes. The last time these two sides met, Clive Barker’s team came away with all the three points at Mbombela Stadium with 1-0 scoreline victory. However, it was the Urban Warriors who had the last laugh as they were in formidable form to knock Barker’s men out of the Telkom Knockout Cup with a 3-0 scoreline.
The in-form Bloemfontein Celtic host struggling SuperSport United at the Free State Stadium on Wednesday, March 11. Phunya Sele Sele notched up their third successive win in a row when whey shocked Bidvest Wits with a 1-0 win at Bidvest Stadium. Clinton Larsen's side are again hoping to claim another victory to further climb up the PSL standings. Celtic have only notched up five wins of their 21 games against Matsatsantsa a Pitori and have lost four times against the Tshwane side. Gordon Igesund's troops have a better record against the Free State side, having claimed 11 wins. Earlier in the season, United walloped Celtic 3-0 with goals from Dino Ndlovu, Thato Mokeke and Clayton Daniels sealing the points for SuperSport.
Defending Absa Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns welcome the free-scoring Polokwane City to Loftus Stadium on Wednesday, March 11. The Brazilians claimed a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Free State Stars to move within 11 points of first placed Kaizer Chiefs and, are looking to narrow the gap to just eight points. Rise and Shine are placed eighth on the log with 29 points from 21 matches, and are amongst the league's top goal scoring sides. Kosta Papic's side are in to claim a revenge after a meeting between the two teams earlier this season, saw goals from Cuthbert Malajila, Themba Zwane and Teko Modise hand Pitso Mosimane's side all the three points in the 3-0 away win.
Maritzburg United are aiming to end their winless streak in the Absa Premiership when they host pace-setters, Kaizer Chiefs at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday evening, March 11. The Team of Choice are without a win in eight league games and recently suffered a 1-0 defeat away to University of Pretoria. Another setback could see Steve Komphela’s charges' chances of a top eight finish slowly slip away from their fingers. The Amakhosi on the other hand were held to a 0-0 draw by Orlando Pirates and will be looking to further extend their dominance over the KZN side and extend lead at the summit of the PSL log. From the 17 league matches between the side since the 2005/06 season, the Glamour Boys have claimed seven wins compared to four for United, while six matches have ended in draws. Bafana Bafana winger, Mandla Masango was the only goalscorer of the match as his solitary strike handed the Amakhosi a narrow 1-0 win at FNB Soweto in the two sides' last league clash.
The University of Pretoria who have been in fine form in the Absa Premiership thus far, welcome the struggling Platinum Stars at Tuks Stadium on Wednesday, March 11. AmaTuks picked up their third successive win on the trot when they defeated Maritzburg United 1-0 the past weekend. Dikwena returned back to winning ways in their last league outing with a 1-0 win over relegation candidates Moroka Swallows. Allan Freese and his team broke a seven-match winless run in that match and are now looking to upset Tuks at home.

League position: Ajax 5th and Aces 12th
Useful facts: Ajax have enjoyed a decent start to 2015, although a top eight finish isn’t perhaps guaranteed quite yet. Roger de Sa’s men still have work to do to finish the season on a high. Meanwhile, Black Aces have lost three and drawn two of their last five matches played. Clive Barker will no doubt be feeling the pressure as he takes his team to the Mother City. Ajax should be slight favourites in this clash.
Mark Haskins: I’ll go with an Ajax win. They’re doing well.
League position: Celtic 6th and United 9th
Useful facts: Siwelele are a rejuvenated force under Clinton Larsen and the side are playing with smiles on their faces. The loyal Celtic faithful must be enjoying what has been a good run so far. SuperSport, whose form has deteriorated in recent weeks, will likely be underdogs in this PSL contest. However, Gordon Igesund will be no doubt be demanding a response.
Mark Haskins: Celtic home win.
League position: Downs 2nd and City 8th
Useful facts: In what could be an attractive contest in which both teams will likely open up and play expansive football, the Brazilians host Kosta Papic’s impressive City side at home. Downs will likely be the favourites, although Rise and Shine do create a lot of chances. This could be the game of the day in the Absa Premiership.
Mark Haskins: Sundowns win.
League position: United 10th and Chiefs 1st
Useful facts: United are struggling badly in 2015 and Steve Komphela is undoubtedly feeling the heat. The Team of Choice aren’t entirely out of relegation trouble and tension will be rising in the United dressing room. It will be a big ask for the club to take on and beat Stuart Baxter’s rumbling Kaizer Chiefs machine. Expect the Glamour Boys to be favourites in this clash.
Mark Haskins: Draw.
League position: Tuks 7th and Stars 14th
Useful facts: Tuks have been looking as solid as a rock in recent matches and for this Sammy Troughton deserves a lot of credit. Tuks are undefeated in their last five matches played as well. This means struggling Stars are expected to be under pressure in this contest in Pretoria. A draw might be a good result for Dinaledi.
Mark Haskins: Stars away win.
