Zimbabwe coach Ian Gorowa was pleased with their 2-1 win over Bafana Bafana in an international friendly on Tuesday night.
The Warriors put on an impressive display against hosts South Africa and were rewarded as goals from Knowledge Musona and Cuthbert Malajila secured the win.
Gorowa was pleased with the combination of his attacking players and feels that they deserved the victory over their local rivals.
"It was not an easy game hey. I said it was going to be a difficult one because we know each other very well. So I think we took our chances, Bafana also had chances, but I think in the end we deserved to win because we played mostly a counter-attack kind of football," he said.
"I think Bafana did well, but I must say credit to our boys - they did well and we scored two goals. Before the game I was speaking to Knowledge (Musona). I said 'Knowledge, you are failing to score for Kaizer Chiefs so here is an opportunity for you to score.' And he did that. So hopefuly he can carry his form to Chiefs.
"The same with Khama Billiat (of Sundowns), the combination with him, Musona and Kingston (Nkhatha), together with Denver (Mukamba) in the first-half - they did very well. It looks good, we can always improve but I think for now it's good."
