On Wednesday night Cavin Johnson gave a debut to 15-year-old Kobamelo Kodisang as Platinum Stars beat Golden Arrows 2-0.
Kodisang, who turns 16 on Friday (August 28), came onto the field with just over five minutes to go of the game, replacing Robert Ng’ambi.
Kodisang joins a select few to make their debut at such a young age.
The record is still held by Mkhanyiseli Siwahla, who made his PSL debut at the age of 15 years, five months and 22 days.
Last season Bidvest Wits gave Liam Jordan a debut at 16, and he became the youngest player to play in the PSL in 6 years, which has now been usurped by Kodisang.
