Orlando Pirates are without Felipe Ovono in their camp in Potchefstroom this week.
The Buccaneers are currently in the North West for a week-long camp under Muhsin Ertugral and his technical team.
Ovono has been linked with a Bucs exit for some time, following his lack of game time in the team last season. The Equatorial Guinea shot-stopper found himself competing with Siyabonga Mpontshane for the reserve goalkeeper position at Bucs, while Brighton Mhlongo has been the first choice for the better part of the 2015/16 season.
Following the arrival of Jackson Mabokgwane at Pirates, who is expected to be officially announced as one of the new signings for the Soweto giants in this transfer window, Ertugral and his technical team are expected to make changes to the goalkeeping department for the new season.
Siya sources close to the Pirates camp have confirmed that Ovono hasn’t been part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming season.
It is unclear if Ovono will be loaned out or released from his contract with Pirates, with the 22-year-old contracted to Bucs until 2018.
