In 2013 Pirates reached the final of the CAF Champions League, losing out 3-1 on aggregate to Egyptian side Al Ahly.

This year Bucs got their revenge against the Egyptian giants, knocking them out in the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup 5-3 on aggregate and advancing to the final.

Pirates welcome Etoile du Sahel to Orlando Stadium for the first leg of the final on Saturday, November 21, and Gyimah has offered some advice to the other teams in Mzansi looking to do well in continental competitions in the future.

“Plan well and take the tournament seriously. The fact that Pirates will be playing in their third cup final on the continent shows how seriously Chairman Irvin Khoza and the management take this competition,” Gyimah told Soccer Laduma.

“Asking for advice, especially with Mamelodi Sundowns’ Coach Pitso Mosimane wanting to do well in Africa, won’t hurt as it will put the country on the right path.
