Blanckensee Leaves PSL After Charges Laid Against Him
The PSL have confirmed that their General Manager, Derek Blanckensee, has parted ways with the league after charges were laid against him.
It remains to be seen who will replace Blanckensee, who has been with the PSL for five-and-a-half years, although the hunt is now on for his successor.
The statement read:
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirms that it has agreed to part ways with Mr. Derek Blanckensee who has served as the League’s General Manager of Football for five and a half years.
Recent media reports have indicated that charges were laid against Mr Blanckensee by the League.
The League wishes to provide clarity by placing it on record that none of the charges were related to dishonesty of any kind, but to administrative shortcomings in his department in the processing of a registration.
The League takes this opportunity to wish Mr. Blanckensee all the best for the future. The PSL will make no further comment on this matter.
