Central defender, Dean Jones, is excited about the challenge that awaits him after being afforded the opportunity to trial at Kaizer Chiefs.
Jones’ name was drawn alongside Chiefs at the Nedbank Ke Yona Draft which afforded the 16 Ke Yona squad members the chance to showcase their talent at one of the 16 top flight clubs.
The 21-year-old centre back will join the Amakhosi on October 1 and spend a month on trial with the current PSL defending champions.
“I was emotional when selected. I always wished to be in the limelight one day and here I am. Kaizer Chiefs is a big club, very huge, it is a giant. It is an immense responsibility to wear the Gold and Black jersey. However, I have always thought that one day my chance would come and now it has arrived.”
“I just wanted to join the team that always competes for honours. I’m ready to adapt to the requirements at Chiefs,” Jones said on Chiefs’ official website.
