Collins Mbesuma is leading the way in this year’s Absa Premiership Golden Boot race, and could become the fifth player to bag 100 goals in South African football.
The Zambian has 97 goals to his name in South Africa after his 14-goal haul so far this season, and needs just three more to join Mabhudi Khenyeza, Siyabonga Nomvethe, Daniel Mudau and Manuel Bucuane as scoring centurions.
Mbesuma, 32, - who is one of few players to play for all of Mzansi's 'Big Three' - could also become the only player in the PSL era to manage to land the Golden Boot on two occasions, even more remarkably the two wins would come over a decade apart after he last won the award in 2004/05.
