Former Orlando Pirates assistant, Chris O’Loughlin, is one of the favourites to take over the head coach position at Sint-Truidense in Belgium.
O’Loughlin, who was born in Belfast, Ireland, but brought up in South Africa and spent time with both Pirates and SuperSport United before a spell with AS Vita, has been with the Belgian club since 2013 as their head coach.
Having helped the club win promotion to the Belgian Pro League alongside head coach, Yannick Ferrera, O’Loughlin is believed to be highly valued at STVV, and could be selected as Ferrera’s replacement in the coming weeks.
Ferrera recently left STVV to join Standard Liege, and his former club are now on the lookout for the man that they will be choosing to replace him.
According to Siya sources, O’Loughlin is in with a good chance of being given the head coaching position because of his fine work over the past few years.
