Chippa United have finally confirmed that David Zulu is no longer their player, following the striker’s move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Soccer Laduma reported in October already that Chiefs and Chippa agreed on the player’s move in a big money deal.
The Siya crew revealed on Wednesday afternoon that the 28-year-old started his career at the Amakhosi with a training session with his new teammates under Stuart Baxter.
Chippa’s COO, Lukanyo Mzinzi, confirmed that Zulu is officially a Chiefs player.
“Zulu is no longer with us. He started training with Kaizer Chiefs today (Wednesday),” said Mzinzi.
Zulu has scored five goals in the league for Chippa so far this season. He has been in the Bafana Bafana set-up under Shakes Mashaba, although he missed out on the squad travelling to Equatorial Guinea for the Africa Cup of Nations.
