Word reaching the Siya crew is that Ugandan defender, Ivan Bukenya, will this week begin a trial with PSL champions, Kaizer Chiefs.
The crew previously reported that the Amakhosi were due to take two African players on trial during their camp in Nelspruit, however due to problems with getting visas neither were able to take part.
Now, with Stuart Baxter and his team back in Gauteng, it is believed that Bukenya and another defensive minded player from Ghana will begin trials with the Glamour Boys at some point this week.
Bukenya, a 21-year-old centre back, has been playing his football in Iraq for Erbil SC since 2011 and has also represented his national team at senior level, despite his relatively young age.
Both Bukenya and the as yet unknown Ghanaian defender are expected to land in Mzansi early this week before beginning their trial with the Amakhosi.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will clash on July 27, with the title of 2013 Carling Black Label Cup champions up for grabs.
