Orlando Pirates’ loan returnee, Tshepo Liphoko, is set for a trial in Europe with Greek Superleague outfit, OFI Crete FC.
Liphoko, who spent last season on loan with Golden Arrows, had a short training spell with Greek side Atromitos FC back in May, however it was subsequently reported that his training stint was only for development purposes.
The Siya crew can now report that Liphoko will be undergoing a trial with OFI Crete, the club who recently signed a loan deal with Kaizer Chiefs defender, Lincoln Zvasiya.
Kaizer Chiefs confirmed Zvasiya’s one-year loan on the club’s official website, while the player’s agent, Mike Makaab, revealed to the Siya crew on Wednesday morning that the loan deal has an option to be made permanent.
Makaab told Soccer-Laduma, “At this moment in time I can’t disclose too much. They are both going to the same team. Lincoln’s loan deal has been done. Tshepo is going there on a trial.”
The crew will keep you updated on Liphoko's trial in Greece, as the talented youngster looks to secure a contract abroad.
Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will clash on July 27, with the title of 2013 Carling Black Label Cup champions up for grabs.
