Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be keeping close tabs on Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Bongani Zungu, who will see his contract expire this season.

As reported in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, the Amakhosi’s interests have been attracted by the midfielder, who will be a free agent in June and can therefore sign a pre-contract in January.
However, according to Siya sources, the 22-year-old is eyeing a move overseas at present, and would favour a move to Europe over any club in South Africa, including Chiefs.
The Amakhosi are looking to bolster their midfield in the coming two transfer windows as they seek long-term replacements for the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala and Reneilwe Letsholonyane, and Zungu is thought to fit the bill.
It seems unlikely that Chiefs will be able to persuade the Bafana Bafana international to leave Chloorkop for Naturena, especially given the interest from Portuguese side Vitoria de Guimaraes, however, that does not mean that the intention is not there.
