Bidvest Wits are understood to be considering snapping up the services of University of Pretoria striker Lucky Mathosi, who has also attracted interest from abroad.
The Clever Boys are said to be thinking about making a bid for the 24-year-old this month as his contract at Tuks expires at the end of this campaign.
A Siya source has revealed that Wits could include striker Getaneh Kebede, who is currently on loan at Tuks, as a bargaining chip to ensure they land Mathosi.
"Lucky Mathosi will be ready to sign with a team of his choice in January. Wits has been interested in the player for some time, and it is highly possible that he will be leaving Tuks on a free," the source said.
"Gavin (Hunt) has shown interest in signing the player for next season. I have heard that Wits is considering a swap deal between Mathosi and Getaneh (Kebede).
"You must remember that Kebede is at Tuks on loan from Wits. Wits want the swap deal to take place in the January transfer window."
Do you think Mathosi would be a good signing for Wits, considering he has only managed two starts for Tuks so far this season?
