AmaZulu’s communications manager, Philani Mabaso, confirmed to the Siya crew that the KwaZulu-Natal team have concluded a deal with Pineas Jacob, adding depth to Craig Rosslee’s squad. “We have signed him,” said Mabaso.
The Namibian player has been added to the Usuthu squad to improve the team’s attacking options in the new season.
Jacob previously played for Tigers FC in Namibia and becomes the third Namibian in the current AmaZulu squad.
The club already has Sadney Urikhob and Willem Mwedihanga on their books. Tigers FC is the same club that Willem Mwedihanga turned out for before his move to AmaZulu.
Their countryman, Tangeni Shipahu, earned a move to Osotspa Saraburi in Thailand after playing for AmaZulu.
AmaZulu have a good relationship with clubs from Namibia. Rosslee and his team played a few games in the country during their pre-season tour of Namibia last month.
