Speaking to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview in edition 965, the former FC Utrecht man, made special mention of Buccaneers and Bafana Bafana talisman, Oupa 'Ace' Manyisa as that specific player.
“Orlando Pirates midfielder, Oupa Manyisa. I like the way he plays… his passing, movement and timing… and I’ve always enjoyed watching him. He’s a complete player,” Schut said of the Buccaneers captain.
Ace as the player is affectionately known in the local football fraternity, has been missing for the Mayfair-based outfit since sustaining an ankle injury against Polokwane City in September last year in an Absa Premiership fixture.
The 27-year-old is back at training, although the coach has reiterated that he does not want to rush the team’s captain back into the thick of things.
Manyisa could well be in contention for a place in the match-day squad when the Buccaneers host Free State Stars on Saturday, April 9 and it remains to be seen if coach, Eric Tinkler will immediately throw his skipper into action as they look to challenge for a top four finish in the Absa Premiership this season as well as target for silverware in the Nedbank Cup that is still underway.
