Ajax Cape Town are planning to halt their game against Orlando Pirates this week in the 21st minute to hold moment’s applause for Cecil Lolo.
The Urban Warriors return to action on Wednesday evening after their last two games were postponed following the tragic passing of the 27-year-old defender in a car crash last month.
Having held a memorial for the fallen Warrior last week, Ajax are believed to be planning on stopping their clash with the Buccaneers on 21 minutes (Lolo’s jersey number) as one last homage to Lolo.
The club have already announced that they will be retiring the number 21 jersey in Lolo’s honour, and they have also renamed Block 117 as ‘The Cecil Lolo - Khayelitsha Stand’.
Having just signed a new deal with the club, head coach, Roger de Sa, will be eager to beat his former club, Pirates, in honour of Lolo in The Mother City one Wednesday evening.
