The top-ranked players in EA SPORTS FIFA 21 have been announced, and all eyes are on Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to see who is ranked higher.
Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2021 have already revealed their ratings for the two superstars, with Messi (94) having beaten Ronaldo (93) by a single point.
The scores for the duo in FIFA 21 are slightly lower overall, but the same trend is on display, with the Barcelona superstar rated at 93 overall, while Ronaldo is a point behind at 92 overall.
Interestingly, Ronaldo beats Messi in a number of the sub-categories, including skill moves, where the Argentine scores four as opposed to Ronaldo's five.
The Juventus star has significantly better pace, with a score of 89 as opposed to Messi's 85, while he also boasts marginally better shooting stats with 93 overall.
Ronaldo's attacking work-rate is also superior, with the Portugal star getting a rating of high, with Messi's attacking work-rate at medium.
However, the Argentina international shines in the passing and dribbling categories, with Messi being rated 91 for his ability to find teammates, and 95 for getting past his opponents.
Ronaldo, on the other hand, is only rated at 81 overall for his passing and 89 for dribbling, but is also superior in regards to physicality, where he is rated 77 and Messi is at 65 overall.
The two superstars are the highest-ranked players in the game, which arrives in early October on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
