With EA’s FIFA being one of the most popular video games in the world today, it’s been reported that the franchise could undergo a name change.

The latest version of the game has seen a number of additions being made in recent months, with EA looking to keep game modes fresh and appealing to players.

With fans knowing the game as ‘FIFA’ for over 20 years, fans could well have to get used to a massive change in its title. According to Givemesport, gaming journalist Jeff Grubb revealed that FIFA would be renamed to EA Sports FC.
It’s been reported that EA Sports do not want to pay FIFA for the name and wants to move on permanently from their partnership.
According to the reports by Grubb, FIFA updated their trademark in Europe which are specific to video games, hence an indication of a name change on EA’s part.
