eFootball 2022, formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer, endured a dismal launch which was marred with poor performance and low review scores.
Konami had decided to move to the free-to-play arena with the football title, in a move that would have been expected to give them a bigger portion of the market, but they had to release a statement shortly after launch to apologise for the state of the game.
Fans had been eagerly awaiting the first update in the hopes that there would be some drastic changes, however, Konami have now revealed that the update will only arrive in November as they need to "ensure the experience is improve for all users."
Konami explained that they needed additional time to work on the update, and the date and list of technical fixes will be released as soon they are confirmed.
