Julio ”Beast” Bianchi came out on top in a best-of-three battle against Thabo “Yvng Savage” Moloi in the LG FIFA 21 Showdown match over this past weekend.
The tournament was played on the world's largest 88" 8K OLED TV, provided by sponsors LG, and saw Beast claim R10 000 for Norwood Central Primary School, who do incredible work to provide food and support to children in the community.
Yvng Savage walked away with R5 000 for his charity of choice, the Kolisi Foundation (run by fellow Red Bull athlete Siya Kolisi and Rachel Kolisi) whose vision is to change the narrative of inequality for people in vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in South Africa.
One viewer also won R5000 for their charity of choice, with Abu Akhalwaya donating his prize to Gaming Miracles, a non-profit organization that strives to help gamers with disabilities and potentially terminal illnesses.
Beast, who was playing as Liverpool, beat Yvng Savage (Real Madrid) 2-0 in the first match. He then wrapped up the victory with an emphatic 4-1 win in the second game, with Beast using Bayern Munich and Yvng Savage using Manchester City.
