At this stage it is Bidvest Wits leading the race at the summit of the league, however, that could all change in April depending on which way certain games go.
Over the next couple of weeks, there are several high-profile games taking place across the country, games that could have a big say in where the Absa Premiership trophy lands up at the end of the season.
SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns have to play each other twice – starting tonight and could potentially end the hopes of their Tshwane rivals if either manages to pick up all six points.
Meanwhile, Matsatsantsa must also play Wits and Kaizer Chiefs this month as they look to try and keep up the pace on the league leaders, something that could prove to be a difficult task as they also battle it out in the CAF Confederation Cup and Nedbank Cup.
As well as SuperSport, the Amakhosi will also go up against young upstarts, Cape Town City, who are still in contention as they look to replicate Leicester City’s English Premier League success of last season.
City also has to play Wits as the merry-go-round of the top five continues, with all of the clubs holding the ability to crush another’s title ambitions over the course of the next 17 days.
