Polokwane City seek a whopping R2.2 million for the release of Luc Eymael from the club.
It is believed that the club is keen to only let go of the troubled Belgian coach for over R2 million. This after Eymael was involved in a legal battle with the Limpopo outfit.
The 57-year-old coach found himself in hot water with the PSL after resigning from Rise and Shine on March 9 and subsequently penned a new deal with Bloemfontein Celtic.
He was ordered by the PSL’s Dispute Resolution Chamber to return to Rise and Shine after it was ruled that he had a valid and binding contract with the club.
He was also sentenced to a fine of R100 000, with R75 000 of it suspended, for contravening the PSL DRC and was ordered to resume his coaching duties at Polokwane City. Eymael has since returned to the Limpopo outfit as reported by the Siya crew last week.
Indications from sources close to Polokwane is that the club is seemingly open to releasing Eymael to an interested club for a huge fee.
However, his departure from Polokwane will depend on the said interested club coming forward with the money to acquire his signature, as reported in edition 1024 of Soccer Laduma.
According to Siya sources in Limpopo, it will take around R2.2 million for any interested suitor to buy Eymael out of his contract, though they could settle for less if an interested party is unable to match the asking price.
