Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Camaldine Abraw, is back in South Africa with indications that he could be headed to Bidvest Wits.
After spending two years with Chiefs, having joined the club from Free State Stars in 2015, Abraw parted ways with Amakhosi at the end of the 2016/17 season.
Chiefs confirmed releasing the player over two weeks ago.
“Meanwhile, as earlier reported the club has sealed the agreement to release Camaldine Abraw from his contract and wished the Togolese all the best in his future endeavours,” Chiefs stated in a press release at the time.
The Siya crew has been informed that Wits could be the player’s destination in his search for a new club.
“Camaldine Abraw is likely to join Wits. He landed in Mzansi today. He has been overseas for the holidays. He is expected to be on his way to Wits. Expect negotiations to be started for the player by the club (Wits),” said the source.
Abraw’s former Chiefs teammates Lewis Macha and Lucky Baloyi, who also parted ways with the Soweto giants at the end of last season, have joined Baroka FC and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.
