Leopards Official Arrested After Alleged Coach Assault
A Black Leopards official has reportedly been arrested by police in Limpopo after an alleged assault on former head coach, Ivan Minnaert.
Minnaert claims that Leopards’ team manager, Elijah Mulaudzi, ran into him with a club car after he had been issued with his letter of termination, with the coach ending up in hospital.
He explained to the Siya crew that he had reported the matter to the police and that they were looking into the situation following his criminal declaration.
The Belgian told the crew earlier this week, “They terminated the contract, and told me that I need to bring all the stuff back by 5 pm today (Wednesday), I confirmed that in my answer to them. I went for supper and then I received a call from someone at the club asking where I was. I told them that I’d bring back the car tomorrow as requested and wouldn’t be giving it to anybody else.
“Around 9.30pm I went home, and I went to my bed. Then 15 minutes later I heard the car starting. I went out and saw them trying to leave with the car. I wanted to stop him and said that they needed to leave the car because I needed to take it back tomorrow.”
Now, according to Siya sources, Mulaudzi was arrested by the police in Limpopo, although at this point the charges being laid against him are unknown.
The crew sought to contact Leopards for their take on the matter, however they opted not to comment at this point in time.
