Contract Talks To Re-Open Between Chiefs And Duo
Discussions surrounding the expiring contracts of both Lorenzo Gordinho and Tsepo Masilela at Kaizer Chiefs are expected to get back underway this month.
As things stand both players will be leaving Naturena as free agents in a few months’ time, with their current deals set to expire at the end of June if respective new ones aren’t agreed upon.
Both players have played vital roles for the Glamour Boys in recent years and while it is thought that the club does want to extend both of the two players' spells, at this stage there no agreement has been reached.
Mike Makaab, the representative of the duo, has explained that talks will restart in the next ‘week or so’, and the Siya crew is led to believe that they are still at a relatively early stage in the negotiations.
Makaab told the crew, “With regards to both Masilela and Gordinho, we will resume talks within the next week or so. We are in discussions with Chiefs about their futures at the club.”
Chiefs are expected back in training this week as they prepare for the second half of the season, however Gordinho – as well as Ryan Moon, Siyabonga Ngezana and Emmanuel Letlotlo – will only return next week after a training spell with Fulham in England.
