'Shabba' is one of the players nursing a minor injury...
With 'Tower' also a doubt for the game...
Komphela is chasing a win...
And Motaung says it's a 'chance to rectify the mistakes we made'.
Three Kaizer Chiefs players may miss the Macufe Cup clash with Bloemfontein Celtic this weekend as they nurse minor injuries.
The Amakhosi face Siwelele in the annual game on Sunday afternoon at 15h00, with Steve Komphela expected to give some of the club’ fringe players a runout as part of the international break at some point in the game.
However, both Bobby Motaung and Willard Katsande have expressed the importance of getting a result in the encounter, saying that it can be used to fix mistakes that have been made in previous games.
With that in mind, it is believed that Siphiwe Tshabalala, Erick Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso are all nursing small knocks at present, and while they are all expected back before the clash with Mamelodi Sundowns later this month, they may not be available at Free State Stadium.
At this point, it remains to be seen whether the trio will be able to feature against Celtic this weekend, although the comments from Motaung, Katsande and Co do suggest that Komphela is eager to put out a strong side in order to keep their hands on the trophy.
Chiefs have several injuries to deal with at present, so Komphela will be happy that the newest ones are not too serious.
