Earlier this year, in May, the Siya crew revealed that Ntshangase signed a contract with Assyriska FF in Sweden. The player, who previously had trials with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, among other PSL clubs, has been keeping fit by playing for the Swedish club’s U21 side, while waiting for his paperwork to be sorted.
Assyriska’s manager and scout, Ninous Toma, has confirmed to the Siya crew that the former Orlando Pirates development player is now eligible to debut in the Swedish Cup on Wednesday.

“Wesley ‘Vieira’ Ntshangase is ready for selection since all his paperwork was finalised by the Swedish Federation yesterday. He will be starting to make his mark on Wednesday when we play in the Swedish Cup. While waiting (for paperwork), the boy has been fantastic with the U21s. He is a very good midfielder who plays the same type of football as the likes of Lassana Diarra, N’golo Kante and Claude Makelele. He is humble and has been patient. If he keeps working hard he will be sold to good clubs in Europe by the club (Assyriska FF),” said Toma.
