Swedish-Based Player Might Opt For PSL Next Year

Swedish-Based Player Might Opt For PSL Next Year

South African-born, Bradley Ralani is set to see out his contract with Helsingborgs IF before considering a move back to his home country.

As reported last year by the Siya crew, due to Helsingborgs IF’s relegation to the second tier, the player was unhappy with the situation at the club and at the time, the Swedish-outfit was open to negotiating the 29-year-old’s release from the outfit.

However, the player’s representative, Mikhail Robertson has confirmed to the Siya crew that the midfielder will stay put at Helsingborgs, until his contract comes to an end in December, this year.

“The last time when we were trying to get him out of Helsingborgs, a lot of the top players were leaving because they had just been relegated. Helsingborgs have since appointed a new head coach.”

“He (the new coach) really likes Surprise. He thinks Surprise is going to be one of his top players. He is a senior player in the team and he has the experience,” Ralani’s representative said in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma.

Robertson then went on to say that when Ralani’s contract comes to an end, the player will consider a move to the Premier Soccer League.

“He is still looking to finish his career here in the PSL. Their contracts run until December, so in the January transfer window he will probably be looking to move back to South Africa,” Robertson concluded.

Ralani left Mzansi in 2009 where he spent most of his professional footballing years abroad without experience of playing in the PSL and it remains to be seen which outfit in Mzansi’s top flight will offer the player his first PSL contract when he becomes a free agent in January next year.
