Mahlangu’s Dream Debut – Turning Defeat To Victory

May Mahlangu had a dream debut in Bulgaria last night as he came on for his new side, Ludogorets, to help them turn a 2-0 deficit into three points.
The 29-year-old has had to wait nearly a month for his debut as he acclimatised to life with the club, however made an immediate impact as he came off the bench early in the second half of last night’s clash with Botev Plovdiv.
Ludogorets were 2-0 down going into the halftime break on Sunday evening, however Mahlangu helped bring them to life as they got back into the game 10 minutes after his introduction, and it took just 16 minutes for him to get on the scoresheet himself.

Mahlangu headed home to equalise in the 62nd minute as he immediately endeared himself to the club’s supporters, and it was to get even better in the dying embers of the game as his scuffed shot made it through to Marcelinho who put it it into the back of the net.
The South African will now be turning his head to Nesebar in the cup, and will be eager to follow up his goal and assist on debut to another impressive showing on Wednesday night.
