Ntuli Terminates Twente Contract
FC Twente’s Orlando Pirates academy graduate, Nhlakanipho Ntuli, has parted ways with the club after a mutual termination of his five-year contract.
The 19-year-old joined the Dutch outfit shortly after his 18th birthday in 2014 following a successful co-development programme between Twente and Pirates, however he has struggled to make a name for himself in Holland.
It has been confirmed to the Siya crew that Ntuli’s contract with Twente has been terminated with immediate effect, leaving him free to find his next club.
‘Nanana’ signed a long-term deal with Kamohelo Mokotjo’s club and had been hoping to break through into their first team, however will now leave having only played for Jong Twente, their reserve side.
The cash-strapped club have fallen on hard times of late, and with foreign players having to earn a certain amount in Holland and Ntuli battling to make the first team, it seems to be mutually beneficial for the two parties to make way.
It now remains to be seen where Ntuli will end up playing next as he looks to get his career back on track, however given the fact that he has his clearance prior to the closing of the transfer window, he can take his time and can now sign for his new club whenever.
