Portuguese outfit, Vitoria de Guimaraes, have opted to extend Morne Nel’s stay with the club until the 17th of December after he picked up a knock.

The Siya crew reported back in November that the 19-year-old would be spending around two weeks with Guimaraes as he looked to impress their technical team, and it has since been confirmed that he is still there.
According to Siya sources, while Nel was meant to only stay for two weeks, the midfielder picked up a minor injury while in Europe, with the club then deciding to offer him the chance to stay on for a little while longer.
It remains to be seen what, if anything, will come of Nel’s spell with the Portuguese Primeira Liga club, however it will no doubt be a good learning curve for him even if he does end up returning to SuperSport.
Nel, who made his Absa Premiership debut at just 17, now has around a week to prove his talents to the Portuguese club, and possibly open up the chance of a possible move to Europe in the not-so-distant future.
