The Siya crew reported recently that the 32-year-old was training with his old side as he mulled over his options for the future, and it has now been confirmed that he has signed a short-term deal with them until December.
Kongsvinger are currently battling it out for promotion back into Norway's top-flight, and as it stands are on track to at least make the promotion playoffs come the end of the season.
With Niang's help, they will be eager to try and make their way back up to the Eliteserien for 2017, while the player himself will be happy to get back on the field again after what has been a difficult year.
