Team Of The Week For 10/10 Mokotjo
South African midfielder, Kamohelo Mokotjo, landed a place in WhoScored’s Team of the Week with a perfect score this weekend.
The 25-year-old is in fine form in the Dutch Eredivisie at present, as he rekindled a relationship with his former PEC Zwolle teammate, Mateusz Klich, and managed to bag a goal and an assist as FC Twente secured a 4-1 win over ADO Den Haag this weekend.
Mokotjo made more passes than anyone else on the field (67) as Twente romped to victory, while only one player had more touches on the ball and only three made more interceptions than him.
WhoScored, the acclaimed statistics website, gave Mokotjo a 10/10 ranking for his efforts against Den Haag, placing him in their Eredivisie Team of the Week alongside Ajax Amsterdam’s Nemanja Gudelj.
The former Feyenoord man - who recently retired from Bafana Bafana - is the heartbeat of his side in Holland, and has played an integral role as they moved up to eighth in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Thulani Serero’s situation in Holland still doesn’t seem to be improving, with the midfielder left out of Ajax’s squad once again as they beat Heracles 2-0.
