Orlando Pirates are expected to play some friendly games to keep the players match fit in preparation for the Nedbank Cup final.
With the 2016/17 Absa Premiership season ended, the Buccaneers will have no choice but to prepare for their final with SuperSport United with friendly games.
The Buccaneers and Matsatsantsa will play this year’s Ke Yona final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on June 24.
While the players will be expected to attend the training sessions as regularly as they have been doing throughout the season, Kjell Jonevret will want to keep his charges active by playing competitive friendly games in order to be ready for the game.
The game against Matsatsantsa is the only hope that Bucs have in an attempt to bring glory to the club for its 80th-anniversary celebrations.
Furthermore, winning the trophy would give the club a ticket to next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
