Following what has been a disappointing campaign for Pirates, where for the first time, the club will finish the season outside of the top eight since the inception of the PSL. It seems that changes will be made and that the squad could be reshuffled ahead of next season but for now, the club has refocused its energies on the Nedbank Cup competition.
With Jonevret preparing the team for the Nedbank Cup semi-final game against Golden Arrows this weekend, the Swedish coach says he hasn’t yet discussed player movements for next season with the club management.
“I haven’t sat down with management yet to discuss next season in terms of player movement but we will see at the end of the season,” said Jonevret as quoted by Bucs media officer Thandi Merafe on Twitter.
How the Buccaneers will perform in the Nedbank Cup should give the coach and his technical team a clearer picture of what they need to work on in order to prepare for next season.

A win for Bucs against Arrows on Sunday will go a long way in helping the Soweto giants in their aim to reach the Nedbank Cup final and to possibly restore some pride after a disappointing season.
