Tuks Into MDC Final

MultiChoice Diski Challenge - Semi-Final

Result: University of Pretoria (3)1-1 (2) SuperSport United

Date: 15 February 2015

Venue: Wolfson Stadium

University of Pretoria booked their spot in the final of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge after defeating SuperSport United 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out.

SuperSport should have been ahead in the 10th minute but Mukona Rambuwani 's close range strike was saved by Ngubeni.

SuperSport were presented with another chance four minutes later, Levy Mashiane powered his way past his man to lay of a ball for Kwanele Zulu, but the speedy forward scooped his effort over the crossbar.

AmaTuks then had their first opportunity of the half, as Mpho Maruping side-footed wide of the target from six-yards out in the 20th minute.

However, it was SuperSport took the lead a minute later, as Zulu drilled the ball home from close range, after doing well to round Lebogang Ngubeni

AmaTuks leveled matters in the 36th minute, as Dikgang Ncobo rose highest to head home into the far corner.

The second half failed to proved the same spark as the opening 45 minutes did, as the quality in the final third from both side were lacking.

SuperSport's tasl was made tougher in the 85th minute, as defender Jino Moeketsi received his marching orders, after picking up his second yellow of the game.

Both sides failed to find the winner in the 30 minutes of extra-time and the game had to be decided by a penalty-shootout.

After a host of missed penalties, AmaTuks managed to hold their nerve, as they triumphed 3-2 in the shoot-out.
