Revealed: The Real Reason Why Cristiano Ronaldo Threatened To Leave Real Madrid?
Cristiano Ronaldo threatened to leave Real Madrid in the past window, and while many believe it was because of his tax struggles, this could be the real reason.

The Portuguese reportedly wanted to leave Los Blancos in June this year after being accused by Spanish tax authorities of having committed fraud to the tune of €14.7 million (R227 million), as reported by Portuguese paper A Bola.
However, Ronaldo ended up staying at the Spanish giants despite the tax fraud case still being heard, which makes it unlikely his court struggles were the real reason he wanted to leave.
A report by Don Balon has now suggested that the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe is the real reason why the superstar got upset. Ronaldo reportedly felt that Mbappe would become Zinedine Zidane's main man, and did not want to lose his position in the team to an 18-year-old, according to the Spanish publication.
In addition, Mbappe could have potentially upset other key figures in the dressing room, including captain Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema, who all potentially could have earned less than the French wonderkid.
The talented attacker is understood to receive £200 000 (R3.1 million) a week at French giants Paris Saint-Germain, which would have made him the third highest paid player at Real.
"Buy a player for €180 or €200 million?" president Florentino Perez told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
"We were in contact with Mbappe, but at the moment it would upset us more than it would help us."
Mbappe has since joined PSG in an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for a reported fee of €180 million (R2.8 billion) at the end of the season.
