Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly not happy with comments made by Gareth Bale's agent, who claimed his client "doesn't want to be the best in selling underwear".
The Welshman's representative Jonathan Barnett spoke to The Guardian earlier this week and insisted there is no "hatred" between the Portuguese and Bale.
However, other comments made by the agent in that interview have reportedly upset Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes, according to AS.
Real coach Rafael Benitez has reportedly called Bale to find out if there are any problems between the two superstars.
The Welsh wizard apparently told the Los Blancos coach he has no issues with the club's talisman and that the quotes by his agent don't represent his own opinion.
It is understood that Benitez asked Bale to tell Ronaldo exactly this in a face-to-face conversation once they return from national team duty.
It's not the first time comments by the former Tottenham Hotspur winger's agent have caused problems in the Madrid camp – he previously claimed his client's teammates don't pass to the club's record signing enough. Even then boss Carlo Ancelotti got involved.
Los Blancos will surely want to prevent a similar situation.
