FC Barcelona superstar Neymar has revealed that teammate Lionel Messi is his best friend away from football.
After Barcelona’s 5-0 thumping over Levante on Sunday, the 23-year-old Brazilian had a few things to say about the game and his general happiness playing alongside some of the world’s best footballers – including his good friend, Lionel Messi.
“Some things come easy to Barca and we put in one of our best performances,” he told Canal Plus.
“I’m very happy with the result. The other day I missed a penalty but these things happen.
“For me it is an honour to play alongside Messi, Luis Suarez and Pedro. Messi is the best friend I have, both at Barca and away from the football pitch.”
Neymar has been in rampant form this season, scoring 17 La Liga goals in 20 games, while he’s assisted six for his teammates, helping Barcelona to move within a point of their rivals Real Madrid.
